  • Concept

    The rainwater harvesting system comprises the surface drainage system and tubular storage tanks. Rainwater and surface runoff are collected by the drainage system and then directed to the customized HDPE storage tank for sedimentation, filtration, and storage.

  • Application

    Can be installed in school, sport ground, parking lot, building, garden, farm, park and etc. for purposes of water storing, flushing, firefighting, cleaning, irrigating etc.

  • Characteristics

    1. Saving water resource.
    2. Saving water bill.

Rainwater Harvesting SystemCONSTRUCTION PROCESS

  • Excavation

    Clean the ground and excavate the ground for the foundation of rainwater harvesting system.

  • Base Preparation

    Prepare the excavated base with a supporting layer (at least 10cm) of gravel or concrete.

  • Tank Installation

    Install the tanks in position.

  • Gulley Installation

    Install the gulley in position.

  • Piping and Wiring

    Install the necessary pipework and electrical work to the system as specified in the design drawing. Reserve the needed length before backfilling to avoid re-excavation.

  • Backfill

    After installing the system, backfill the excavated space to ground level and compact it. Do not let heavy equipment and vehicle run over the ground before backfill and compaction to avoid damage to the tanks.

  • Completion

    Rainwater Harvesting System is completed.

Rainwater Harvesting SystemDemonstrative Case

Rainwater Harvesting System, Taipei, Taiwan.

The silt up was an impending and unsolved problem for many reservoirs in Taiwan. The water supplies from the reservoirs were sometimes insufficient to fulfill the needs of the residence in Taipei during drought season. To solve the problem, rainwater harvesting system were installed. The intercepting drain and pipes were installed to collect rainwater, and the rainwater harvesting tanks were installed underground to save space. The rainwater harvesting system makes better use of the rainwater. It is both ecological and economic solution to the impending problem.
